Sheep Showmanship!!!!!

oh my goodness!!!! we couldn't have been more proud of our little girls this summer :) they had an awesome year at showing sheep!!! olivia won champion showmanship of her age division several times and reserve champion too! then at the end of the year, they gave awards for an "overall"......and she won Reserve Champion Showman (2nd) overall for the entire showing season!!! now, of course, we don't expect every year to be quite so good.....but she obviously does well......and will have good years and bad.....but we couldn't be more proud of her :)

then there was sophia.....! ha! that little girl had a sheep just her size, and that thing loved her, and she loved it!!! and she showed it like a champ!!! she too will follow in her big sister's footsteps w/ showing......sophia won peewee showmanship EVERY single time she showed :) WHAT A FUN YEAR!!!

the above pics are just of the awards banquet held at the state fair grounds in august, where they distributed the awards for "overall". the good mom i am.....never once took my camera to the shows!!! stupid i know....but i was always so busy working w/ the sheep and watching, i didn't have time for that!!! so if i get their pics from someone else, i will post them :) btw- nathan says sheep are stupid and he wants to show pigs!!!!! LOL

About Me

well....where do i begin?? i have never done a "blog" before, and don't know if this is even for me. but a few friends, and one very persistant sister-in-law(esther)really encouraged me to start some sort of "blog" or any place online, to share photos i have taken. so i thought, what the heck!? most everyone knows that photography has been a hobby of mine for a few years now. so with lots of practice, lots of failing, lots of reading and googling, i feel like little by little i'm getting a little better all the time. and part of the reason for getting better, is because of the famous gina..... whom EVERYONE loves and knows, she has been letting me pick her brain for tips and tricks. also, kris, who i met online after joining a photography forum, who happens to be an awesome wedding phogtographer, she has been a TON of help as well! since i have 3 children, my goal is to be able to truly capture, like a professional can capture, the pure innocence and fun of my children. (and i get it for free!) and, since i have lots of wonderful friends & family, i get to practice on them, too!
